RRS Radical Research Summit 2018

We are pleased to announce that the Radical Research Summit will be held on Friday, September 28th, 2018 at the Emily Carr University of Arts and Design, Vancouver, BC.

The Radical Research Summit is a one-day event that brings together 200 researchers, ethnographers, designers, product thinkers and businesses. Our goal is to share research approaches, techniques and ideas around customer-centric product and service design and to facilitate the growth of the research community across the Pacific Northwest.

Join us and bring back to your organizations new research insights, strategies and ways of thinking to foster growth and innovation.

We are seeking speakers for the next Radical Research Summit, Friday, Sept 28th, 2018 in Vancouver!

Join 200 researchers, designers, and product thinkers for a day focused on how research can shape innovation and product/service design.
This is the third annual Radical Research Summit. This research conference sells out each year and provides an intimate opportunity to engage in learning and networking with research and design thought leaders.

We are looking for engaging and inspiring speakers who:

RRS Have done groundbreaking research with emerging technologies (e.g., AR, VR, wearables)
 
RRS Are passionate about sharing their perspectives on key issues and challenges regarding ethics in research
 
RRS Have built research capacity and influence in organizations; delivering research that has impact, or bridges the academic research/commercial research divide
 
RRS Can share interesting work or case studies on timely topics (e.g., involving privacy, fake news, addiction)
The daylong Radical Research Summit will include a mix of full talks and lightning talks, as well as a stand up lunch, a talent/community board and post-event wine and cheese.
If you are interested in being considered as a speaker, please submit your talk proposal in 150 words or less to by May 30th, 2018. State your proposed talk length (full: 30 mins; lightning: 10-15 mins), and include a brief bio.

Event organizers are research pratictioners from Spatial Research & Design, a Ux design company based in Vancouver, Canada, and global leaders in technology innovation, Samsung and Facebook. The organizing team members are passionate about inspiring new ideas and thinking around how research can impact product design and business strategy.
